Our Services

Classes

No matter your age- everyone needs time to exercise their creativity and play make-believe. Through our programming at innerACT, we work with students of all ages and skill levels to foster techniques in areas including effective communication, outside-the-box thinking, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Story Making
Beginning as young as ages 7-10, we offer classes that help children begin to break down the fundamentals of telling a story. Students will create their own original story as well as characters and have the opportunity to present what they have created at the end of the session. Students alongside their instructor will brainstorm storylines and themes and learn how to work as an ensemble.

Making the Musical
Geared towards children who have shown an interest in musical theatre, students will have the chance to work with teaching artists who will direct and choreograph a “musical revue” throughout the session and have a showcase for the last day.  The music chosen for this class will range among various musicals past and present. Students will learn the additional skills that go into the production of an ensemble musical, by learning how to sing, dance, and act within the genre of musical theatre.

Movement and Dance
This is an improvisational movement and dance class accompanied by a pianist.  Students do not have to have a prerequisite in dance, just an open and energetic mind.  This class is a great way to exercise the mind and body as well as learn how to interact with others.

Exploring Shakespeare
Students will have the opportunity to perform in a short rendition of one of Shakespeare’s plays.  Students will also learn how to properly breakdown a Shakespearean script and learn a classical acting style as well as techniques.  This class is great for high school students who are considering pursuing theatre arts in their school or to help prepare for college.

Private Lessons

Acting for Adults and Public Speaking
